We are inviting applications from artists working with graffiti/street art for a commission at Langley Green Hospital, an acute adult mental health hospital in Crawley, West Sussex.   Our project is focused on the hospital gardens which include a number of metal fencing panels that we would like to transform through a participatory art project involving our patients and staff.
The successful artist will offer both excellence in their art form, as well as a proven track record in socially engaged and participatory arts practice.  You will need excellent communication skills and experience of running workshops with vulnerable adults.  The commission will involve working with project participants to develop design ideas appropriate for the setting.  You will also be responsible for production and installation of the final design on time and within budget.
Commission fee £2,300 inclusive for all stages of the project including travel, planning, delivery, design, installation and evaluation.  A separate materials budget is available.
To apply please send current CV (including contact details for 2 references), a link to images of recent art work and a statement (500 words max) outlining why you are interested in the project and what you would bring to the commission.
Please send applications to
