Juice is an exciting multi-artform festival creating work with, by and for children, young people and their families.  For further information about Juice Festival & NewcastleGateshead Initiative:

The Brief

This year’s festival has the theme Seen and Heard, to raise the profile and visibility of children and young people’s creativity and culture and give them a platform to create and share work.

We are seeking creative ideas that are high quality and captivating and will deliver a project that has opportunities for children, families and /or young people to be involved. This could be as performers, producers, curators, or via workshops and other activities to develop the work itself. Proposals should be engaging and accessible but can also be targeted at particular age ranges or types of audience.

Proposals can be for medium or small scale installations, as a single event or a number of performances. Proposals can include any type of artistic activity but we are particularly interested in work that has strong digital / new media content and may be presented on a range of online platforms as well as a ‘live’ experience during the festival. Proposals can be for work presented in a gallery, a venue or outdoor/ public realm settings.

A budget in the region of £5-8,000 is available for each commission. This includes all artists’ fees, the making of the work and any travelling expenses to - from NewcastleGateshead.

The deadline for proposals is 12pm on Friday 10 April 2015
