Pavilion Dance South West (PDSW) is commissioning a new small scale dance work through its Shift and Share strategic touring project:

Are you excited by the idea of designing a scale-able, high quality, full evening professional dance production that can work in both small scale theatres and community venues in the South West, ready for touring in January and February 2016?

If you think you can rise to the challenge with imagination and care for building your audiences then this is the commission for you!

The commission total you can apply for to make this new work is £35,700, with an additional £4,300 of in kind support in rehearsal space and dramaturgy from PDSW and the venue network, which values the whole commission at £40,000.

Shift and Share has brought together 24 venues across the South West eager to support artists and increase the dialogue about building audiences for dance. These venues want to actively engage with you in a collaborative journey to discover more effective ways of marketing professional small scale dance performance.

Shift & Share, led by PDSW, is a new Arts Council supported, strategic touring project for dance across the south west of England.

You can download a commission brief with details of how to apply from www.pdsw.org.uk

You can also sign up to a network day on 23rdFebruary in the South West to find out more about the project. Register your interest by 15th February 2015 to lisa@pdsw.org.uk with “network day” in the e-mail title.

Closing date for applications:        12 Noon, Friday 6th March 2015
