Job Listings / Artist / Sculpturist, Ogilvy Health PR - North West
« on: February 20, 2015, 03:02:25 pm »
We are coordinating a stop-smoking campaign called "My Last Pack" in Salford, Greater Manchester.

The campaign is supported by the UK smoking cessation charity QUIT, and is centered around smokers donating their last cigarette packets as they commit to quit smoking for good.

The idea is that these packets will be used to create a piece of art by a local artist, and later exhibited to the public. As such, we are looking to hire an artist who would be able to create a sculpture from the empty cigarette packets.

We would like to launch the campaign on 11th of March 2015 (No Smoking Day), and once we have sufficient cigarette packs we would allow approximately one month to complete the work, before unveiling it at an event on or before World No Tobacco day on May 31st 2015.

We will cover the artists' fee, and any relevant costs e.g. material costs, travel costs to the exhibition venue.

Pharmaceutical company Pfizer is funding the campaign, and has pledged to donate £1 to the charity for every pack donated by the public.
